June is packed full with summer camps at St. Michael! It's a joy to share our campus with future Guardians learning from our student athletes!
Let us be grateful for the fathers who love and support their families in our St. Michael community. Let us give thanks to the priests and bishops who act as spiritual fathers. God our Father, continue to teach justly and grant us boundless mercy.
The Knights of Columbus are true blessings! They are working hard at St. Michael to help secure the bleachers in a safe place on our practice field. Thank you Knights!!
Support our athletics and activities! All proceeds from the 6th Annual Guardian Golf Classic, presented by the Haggerty Family Foundation, benefit the athletics and activities programs at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School. There are a few sponsorship spots available and all event revenue (up to $30,000) will be matched by Loretto Foundation!
Not a golfer? You can still sponsor a hole or make a tax-deductible donation to count toward the match. Visit smacatholic.org/guardian-golf-classic
St. Michael welcomes new head basketball coach, RJ Newton! Coach Newton graduated from Shawnee Mission South in 2008 and continued playing at Fort Scott Community College. He has been a head coach for MoKan Elite and Maranatha Academy, and also a varsity assistant at Van Horn High School. Coach Newton is looking forward to leading the Guardians next season!

St. Michael is pleased to recognize the students who were awarded the Charism Awards for the 2022-2023 school year. These are the highest awards given at SMA to those who follow our mission to Know Truth, Love God, and Serve Others.
Sr. Stephen Patrick has been selected as one of four recipients of an Innovation in Learning Environments grant from the Kansas City Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments. Although the grant request was $2,000 for a weather station (to be erected at SMA) and time lapse camera, thanks to a surplus of chapter funds, she was surprised at the awards ceremony with a $4,000 check to spend on classroom projects.
Congratulations to Guardian Soccer! They are the District Champions!!
It was a hard fought game against Sion last night but they pulled through with a 2-1 win!
